The crotto

After having been closed for several years, the CROTTO di GITTANA re-opens completely refurbished.

The restaurant focuses its attention to rediscovering the flavours of our land and to offering genuine and quality foods.

The cold cuts and cheeses of our valleys, as well as the fresh fish from our lake, are highly selected and proposed both in the old fashioned ways and in new recipes elaborated from our traditions. The majority of our wines comes from biological productions, whereas the meats come from our local stock farms.

The CROTTO di GITTANA is a flexible structure ideal for banquets, meetings, parties and cerimonies, offering a wide range of services. Moreover, it is provided with a large parking lot.

The premises originates in a far-away time in order to offer public the local products packed in the so called “crotti” (caves). These are ancient vaulted roofs stone structures realized for wine and cheese conservation and maturation, also boosted by the constant cold breeezes coming from the surronding mountains.
